A motherless child

You're wrong...so much has changed.
We are both very different now than a year ago.
Not everything is going to be perfect...we lived in dysfunction and chaos for years...
it may never be all right...but it won't ever be as all wrong as it was before.

I went to a concert last night, The Gospel of Jazz.
One of the performers sang...
Sometimes I feel like a motherless child,
Sometimes I feel like a motherless child,
Sometimes I feel like a motherless child,
Such a long way from home.

I cried...it was so powerful.
I have to run, but don't get discouraged, don't give up...
changes are happening within and without you...
